Large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves are splattered with gold spots and thus its common name. Will stand temperatures as low at 0 degrees F., but the foliage dies back at 20 degrees F. A synonym for this ligularia is Farfugium japonicum 'Aureo-maculata.'
