Comments:
White and pink fruited cultivars are available. May freeze to ground, but will return in most cases in zone 8 and higher. With the milder winters of recent years this plant has begun to spread and some people are calling it an invasive species, but eradication is relatively simple if a population becomes too great. Makes an excellent container plant in parts of the country that have hard freezes and plants cannot be planted in the ground.
