Comments:
This fern tends to wither at the first frost and thus its name "sensitive fern." This large, coarse textured fern grows best in organic, moist soils and in the shade. Where conditions are optimum, it can become somewhat invasive as it spreads by spores and creeping rhizomes. Like most ferns, it has little or no drought resistance.
