A bamboo-like ornamental grass that can become invasive. The edges of the new green leaves are pink tinged green in spring. They are white striped in summer and along the pinkish flower plumes, this grass is attractive until late summer when it turns brown and look ratty. Cut back to within 6 inches of the ground in late winter.
