Comments: This bamboo will withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees and is the hardiest of the Phyllostachys genus. It has a bright white ring at the node of each culm. It has leaves that are darker green than most other bamboos. For the first few weeks in spring the culms are nearly black in color, but then turn green.
