Comments:
The most commonly grown tropical bamboo in the USA. Grows where temperature does not go below 18 degrees. Grown primarily because of its huge handsome culms (canes). Growth is quite slow at first until plants become well established; then growth and spread is rather rapid. May need to take restrictive measures to keep plants within certain boundaries. A large colony can create a truly meaningful environment.
