Flowering kale gives color in the winter and spring garden in the Lower South and in spring and summer further North. Flowering kale and cabbage can stand frost or light freeze. Cannot tolerate hot weather. Plant in November in the Lower South and early spring farther north. Grows best in a raised bed to insure adequate drainage.
