Comments:
In colder parts of its range, plants may be killed to ground and a very hard freeze may kill unprotected root systems. Mulch lower part of plant and roots to protect during hard freezes. Grows quite fast and flowering begins in summer and continues in cycles until the first frost. Cut back freeze damaged parts and mulch the root system. Very easy to root. Just take a cutting of hard wood about 8-10" long, strip away the lower leaves on the stem, and place lower 4-6" of the stem in a potting soil or in a bed where a specimen is desired. Keep rooting medium moist, but not wet. Rooting will occur in a couple of weeks.
