Comments:
This crinum produces a scape of white, star-shaped flowers with a blush of purple in spring and early summer. The purplish lavender buds are especially attractive. Crinums can grow in a wide range of growing conditions, but do best in a sandy loam soil in full sunlight, at least for half of the day, preferably in the morning. The leaves of this crinum can grow up to four feet tall and persist during the winter months. In marginial areas subject to freezing temperatures mulch bulbs heavily during the winter months.
