Comments:
This beebalm is used both in garden plantings as well as wildflower plantings. This particular species produces creamy-white flowers. As a native flowering species it is usually found growing in rather dry, gravelly, limestone soils. It is often associated with wildflower mixes in the Southwest. Beebalm is also widely grown in the spring and summer flower garden. It attracts many types of insects to the blossoms. These include the swallowtail butterflies, bees, and moths. Hummingbirds also visit the flowers frequently. Has been used as a medicinal herb.
