Comments: This is a tropical plant that is a relative of the coffee bean plant and produces interesting flowers. Before a plant comes into bloom there are white leaves that appear on the tips of the shoots where flowers will occur. Then the white leaves fall off. The pale creamy-yellow star-shaped flowers occur during the warm months of the year. This is an excellent container plant, but must be protected from freezing temperatures. Provide sunlight to partial shade and a well drained soil. Flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
