Comments:
Native to China, the bamboo fern with handsome, leathery fronds is especially well adapted to the shade garden where the soil is enriched with a lot of humus. Because of the large fronds this fern makes a strong presence in the shade garden. Plants spread in time when growing conditions are favorable. Fertilize ferns in late winter or early spring to encourage more growth. This fern makes an excellent container plant.
