This herb is widely used to garnish the beverage, 'Mint Julip'. It may be divided and transplanted at any time, but cold weather would be a poor time to do so. It is grown over the whole USA and will grow in sun to part shade. It is not fussy about soil, but does best in a fairly fertile, moist, well drained one.
