Comments:
A low mounding tree or multi-stemmed shrub with a cascading or weeping habit. Purplish-red leaves retain good color in summer and turn crimson red in autumn. It will not stand direct, hot sunlight in the lower part of its range. Should be planted in protected areas where there are no strong winds, else its leave will scoarch. One of the easiest of the threadleaf types of maple to grow.
