Slowly spreads bu underground stems. Cut to ground level each spring to remove old, damaged foliage and encourage new growth. Top half of leaf has reddidh color in summer and becomes deeper red as fall arrives. Should this selection turn to all green leaves, it should be destroyed immediate else it probably revert to an aggressive weed.
