Comments:
Peppermint is a hybrid mint, a cross between the watermint (Menta aquatica) and spearmint (Mentha spicata. This perennial has a long tradition of medicinal uses. It has a high penthol content and is often used as tea and for flavoring ice cream, confectionery, chewing gum and toothpaste. It is easy to grow and makes an especially nice container plant where the leaves can be pulled to flavor foods.
