Comments:
This is a tight, clumping bamboo which has large one-inch canes (culms) for its relative short height. Grows quite upright. Reported to be the only bamboo hardy enough to grow in the colder parts of the Pacific Northwest. Reported not to perform well in the hot, humid South.
