Comments: Celosias thrive in full sunlight and a fertile, well-drained soil. Plants have a fast growth rate and produce bright, showy flowers in colors from almost white to deep red. They make good dried materials for indoor flower arrangements. Celosias have been growing in American gardens since 1767. Old standard varieties self-seed freely in second and third years. To preserve floral head, cut heads after fully mature, remove foliage, place in a brown bag, and hang upside-down in an attic or other warm, dry place for several weeks.
