Comments:
Grows best in moist, well drained soils, but will tolerate rather dry conditions. The pure white, tulip-like flowers have a delightful vanilla-scented fragrance. Foliage is stiff and upright. Produces swollen flower buds that can be quite handsome. Bulbs can be divided and replanted periodically. Dig and separate in the fall.
