Comments:
When the sword-like scapes, that bore flowers, touch the ground they root to form new plants and thus the name "walking iris." Grows well in part shade to shade and makes a good ground cover that produces orchid-like blooms for several weeks in late spring. Subject to winter kill above zone 9, but has lived for years in lower part of zone 8.
