Comments:
Live oaks grow to 60 feet tall and can spread twice that distance. It is not uncommon for the long limbs of an older oak to touch the ground. It has a commanding presence in the landscape and should only be used on very large properties or public grounds. A long-lived, evergreen tree that is easily transplanted even in relatively large sizes. Almsot black acorns on this member of the white oak group are generally produced on an annual basis and serve as wildlife food.
