Comments:
Berries produced only on female trees and they are usually red. However, there are selections with orange and yellow fruit. Birds eat the berries only as a last resort and they generally fall from the tree as new leaves come out in spring. The easy to grow holly is spectacular in the winter landscape with its show of many, many berries. It makes a nice, easy to grow, carfree, colorful tree in the landscape.
