Drought-tolerant and suitable for xeriscaping in shaded gardens. Must grow in shade because it cannot tolerate sunlight. Highly attractive variegated foliage, although growth and spread are much slower than the regular aspidistra. Excellent choice to lighten a dark shaded area of the garden due to the white color in the foliage.
