Comments:
Nectraines are smooth skinned peaches and have the same flesh consistancy and very similar taste as do peaches. There are many varieties of this fruit tree. Scale, borers, plum curculio, brown rot of fruit, oak root rot and fungal leaf diseases attack this species. Control of these pest in a year round chore, if the nectarine is to live long and perform well. About 15 years is the usual life span for nectarines and peaches.
