Comments: Flowers resemble the more familiar foxglove flowers, but are also orchidlike in appearance. Cannot tolerate hard freezes, but also does not bloom well in hot summer conditions, and may bloom in the winter in very warm climates. Flower stalks arise from rosette of foliage. Self-seeding can occur where conditions are favorable.
