Comments:
The arborvitae fern grows well in partial sun where the soil has a generous amount of humus. The fronds with scale-like foliage turns several stages of green during the year. In early spring it is a tender light green and during cold winters the foliage can be bronze colored. This perennial can make a handsome ground cover, and also grows well in containers. Clip back old brown foliage in late winter.
