Comments:
This is a perennial that grows into a shrub-like plant in warm parts of the country. It cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. In marginal areas, mulch roots heavily during the winter months. The long tubular flower buds are formed in clusters and resemble musical notes. Open flowrs produce red stamens. This easy to grow plant will grow in full sun to partial shade. It can be grown in large containers on the patio, terrace, deck or other outdoor area where flowers can be viewed up close.
