Comments:
This member of the agave (century plant) family produces a rosette of stiff, yucca-like leaves that have prickles along the margins, especially toward the base of the leaves. It makes a nice specimen plant in dry, sunny landscapes and has naturalized in Hawaii. The tall yucca-like flower stalks produce flowers followed by bulbils from which new plants arise when planted.
