Comments:
The golden oregano is grown primarily as an ornamental. Its golden colored foliage is a special feature of this herb. While most herbs perform best in full sunlight, this one needs partial shade during the heat of the day because the yellow foliage scorches in full sunlight in hot climates. This selection can be cut to encourage the plant to creep and form more of a ground covering plant. As with most herbs, this one grows well as a container plant.
