Comments: Easier to grow in heavy clay soils than other ornamental grasses. It is slow spreading, clump forming It will flower in light shade and will benefit from some shade in the afternoon in hot climates. Cut the old growth back to ground level in late winter or early spring. Flowers are on spikes rising to about four feet in fall and the flower plume has a pink tinge.
