This selection is grown for its large, spikey leaves that are reddish-purple when they first unfurl in spring. The leaf petioles become reddish at the leaves grow. Leaves are as much as 3' across, deeply cut and lobed. Stalks, 6'-8' in height, bearing clouds of cerise-pink flowers in late spring.
