Comments:
Mexico’s national tree where it is an evergreen. A specimen in Mexico is thought to be between 2000 and 4000 years old. It only looses all its foliage where freezes occur (zone 8 and part of zone 9) and is evergreen in higher zone numbers. Its performance in the USA, particular the eastern part, is not known.
