Comments: Barrenwort or Bishop's Hat is an excellent dense leafy ground cover for moist woodland gardens. Heart-shaped leaves on wiry stems unfurl in spring. This selection produces miniature columbine-like flowers with creamy-yellow petals and coppery-orange sepals. Reasonably good autumn color. Does not tolerate hot, humid conditions of the Lower South.
