Comments:
This is a tropical tree which produces exotic flowers during the fall. It is native to Brazil and Argentina. Keep trees a bit on the dry side during the summer months. It produces a palmately compound leaf that is divided into five to seven pointed leaflets. Bulbous trunks are covered with warty, triangular spines. Trees normally drop their leaves before coming into flower. Pea shaped pods are filled with many seeds covered in silky white floss, thus the common name.
