Comments:
This is an ornamental tree that is noted for its interesting bark characteristics. Patches of the outer bark shed each year at different times, showing the green inner bark. This becomes darker and matures to give varying colors of purple, blue, orange, and maroon, thus the common name "Rainbow" Gum. It is a tall tree and is an important timber tree in the Philippines. This Eucalyptus can withstand light frosts, but not hard freezes.
