Comments: This is a small evergreen subshrub which produces fleshy, silvery-gray foliage. It is native of southern Europe and Africa. This is an herb which thrives in poor, sandy soil in hot, dry locations. Produces yellow flowers in summer. Quite drought tolerant. Old plant need to be cut back periodically to encourage new, succulent growth. Rue is cultivated for medicinal purposes as well as a condiment.
