This species known as the dragon tree, is a vulnerable plant and a spectacular tree when mature. It only reaches maturity where it doesn't freeze and is a very slow grower. Endemic to the arid, rocky mountain areas in the Canary Islands it can only be grown to maturity in zones 10 and 11. Can live for up to 400+ years.
